This was the first time in a
long time we had a fairly normal week. We spent all week in Daphne and did not
have to travel anywhere. It was nice to stay here and work only in our area.
Monday was real quiet not
much excitement for us.
Tuesday was mega busy. We had
interviews with President Smith. I love that man so much. He is so inspired and
full of love. He does an excellent job at leading us. The rest of tuesday was
full of meetings. District leader council, exchange planning, and monthly
meetings with the Stake President. President Jurgens is a riot. I love this man
too! He is a great leader here in Alabama. He has the vision the church leaders
have to carry out the plans of Zion. I learned a ton in our meeting with him.
Leadership, ecclesiastical order, jokes, and doctrine.
Wednesday, I went on an
exchange with Elder Christensen. We had a good time talking to a ton of people
as we went about our work here in the Daphne area. Wednesday night we had an
outstanding lesson with one of our investigators. She came with some great
questions we were able to answer for her. She is very wise and is able to make
all the connections we laid out for her. She accepted an invitation to be
baptized! She has been a miracle find for us.
Thursday, we were at the
church most of the day. We ran the Family History Center for a few hours. I
love doing family history! There are so many great stories to learn and things
to discover. It really is an adventure trying to do the research to find our
past ancestors, digging through documents and records. Everyone should take a
little time and browse around on familysearch.org!
Friday was very busy, we had
a bunch of appointments to fill. In the evening we had another outstanding
lesson with another one of our great investigators. We watched a general
conference talk that we felt was perfect for him. It was a very touching
lesson.
Saturday was a fun one! We
went downtown to the Daphne Arts and Crafts Festival. There were a ton of
people there. The art was great. So many different styles and techniques. We
had a ball. So many people to talk too! I really wish I had taken pictures. I
love the Southern art, I love the cotton, so do the locals. We spent a couple
hours there, but eventually the sun got to us and we went about other
activities. In the evening we watch a bit of the Women's session of general
conference.
I am so excited for this weekend
to hear from our prophets and apostles, giving us the things God wants us to
hear now. I know that we have living prophets on the earth today just as Moses
or Jeremiah of old. They are called and inspired of God to give us His word for
this day and age. Please take the time and watch a session!
This was just the week I
needed. It was a slower paced week and allowed for a little more rest. Next
week we are heading to Mississippi for a few days and have a bunch of things to
get done. I have seen miracles this week and how the Gospel of Jesus Christ
changes lives and brings people happiness. It is the answer to any problem and
all of our questions
We also walked down to the
pier and saw this snake. I guess it turns out that it was a cotton mouth. Didnt
know that at the time, I guess it wasnt the best idea to poke it with a
stick... oops😂
I love yall! Have a great
week! Also shout out to my boy chad! BEST AP!
Love, Elder Graham
