Another transfer down! 11/21/2017

Well I'm officially half way there! The mission has been so awesome! I'm just so happy that I get to stay another transfer in the Promised land!

So just real quick. I don't have a lot of time so it's gonna be a quick update.

I got a new Companion, His name is Elder Burningham. He is awesome! Elder Southway is in Destin, Loving the beach. Before Elder Southway left on tuesday we were crazy busy with lessons and seeing members! We had an awesome lesson with our investigator Dot. She wants to learn more and she wants to come to church this sunday! Also right after that we had a lesson with our investigator Veronica and it was awesome! We were able to teach an awesome lesson and set a baptismal date with her! Shes also going to have thanksgiving with us! So we are super excited for that. We also had zone conference yesterday and it lasted like all day but it was really awesome! We had to drive down to foley and deliver some supplies to those missionaries. We also had to drive to monroe to give a baptismal interview. So that was like 3 hours of driving. All together it was like 4 hours of driving. We do a lot of driving haha. Our area is just sooo spread out. But overall this week has been awesome! I am so excited for this transfer but it is going to go by soo fast! We have so many things we have to do! We are moving out of our apartment and into another one so we have to pack it all up and DEEP Clean our apartment so that should be fun haha. Over all this transfer is going to go by so fast!

I hope you all have a great thanksgiving! I am sorry this is so short! Next week will be better! Ive just been sooo busy this week! I hope yalll have a great week!

Love, Elder Graham

Baptism! 11/13/2017

Dear family and friends,

This week was awesome! We had a great week! We have been busy busy busy!

Tuesday- We drove to monroe district meeting which was in atmore. A solid hour drive. I was so tired of driving  I made Elder Southway drive home haha. We got home and I was just exhausted. I've been feeling like sick off and on this past few weeks. My body just like shut down and I just passed out. I guess i've been just go go go that my body was like, NOPE not today haha. So I get up and we go down to the pier and contact some people and they were really cool. They didn't seem really interested but still shared a card with them. We then grabbed some Chick fil a and went to our investigators football game. We saw  the cutest thing haha. So our investigator is like 12 and at his football game they had these cheerleaders there that are like 7 years old but it was just crazy to see them cheering like they were in high school haha. After his game we had to rush to the church to play basketball. We usually have a big group of people come. Tonight  we had like 14 non members playing which was awesome. Except for the part when one of them was playing really tight defense and they started mouthing off to each other and then one of them swung at this guy named "shooter". So they started getting all mad and saying they are going to fight so another member and I had to push the two people apart and take them out. They finally cooled off but I just told everyone if this happens again we are gonna cancel basketball and everyone is gonna leave. So after all that we all started playing again and everyone was fine and started having a good time. Everyone wanted me to dunk on someone but i'm not trying to break a leg and get sent home hahaha. Overall today was a pretty long day but was fun.

Wednesday- MIRACLES!!!! Today our investigator texted us back. After losing contact with her for over a month. She said that she was praying last night just on her knees asking for help and we texted her. She knew that she needs to meet with us. We met with her today at 9:30am and had a great conversation with her and lesson. We had a member present and they connected really well. She told us that her family just really didn't like mormons but had all this  false information about mormons so I mean if I had that Idea of mormons I wouldn't like us  either but thats all false. She said that she feels like God keeps directing her to us. She said I don't care what my family says I want to come to church and read the Book of Mormon. It was just so awesome to see that fire in her again! After having an awesome lesson with her we went out to eat then came back and went looking for another apartment. Currently we are in a one bedroom apartment and oh my this  place is so small and we have so much supplies for our zone. So we finally were able to find a 2 bed and 2 bath apartment in the same complex which was nice. Then we went over to Brother Mitchell's house to teach his kids who are getting baptized this sunday. Then the district leader interviewed them and they are all good to go for sunday! We are super excited for them! We went out to eat with the foley Elders after and got some mexican food which was pretty good. Then we went home and went straight to bed! I was exhausted.

Thursday- Today we just did our normal routine we went to the gym, came home, got ready, then did our studies. We had to run a few errands today and then we went to the church to get ready for the meeting we were holding with all the District Leaders from our zone. Its called a District Leadership Council (DLC), Where we relay all the information we received from MLC. So then we had the meeting and the council went really well. We are excited for some of the things we will be focusing on in our zone. Especially with Light The World campaign thats going to be starting soon! But after the meeting we went to our investigators house where she fed about 10 missionaries! She had like half of our zone at her house. She Loves us missionaries and fed us all like a thanksgiving dinner. It was awesome! We do a lot of Family History with her and she just loves it. She's so funny, she was  talking to the missionaries in mobile about us and she was like "Yes, I love Brother Southway, and Father Graham". hahhahaa She called me Father Graham, I've never laughed so hard! hahaha I quickly fixed that hhaha. She's a lot older but she is so sweet to us. After having dinner with her we rushed to the church for Basketball. I love playing basketball with all these young guys cause it keeps my butt in shape haha. The only bad thing is that missionaries can only play half court... The court is just like our court back home where it's super small. Not a regular full size court. SO its already small enough to play full court let alone half court. Everyone isn't too happy about that which sucks because we have about 14 non members who come and play and its justs cool to like get to know them. But I heard them talking about going somewhere else to play... SO i'm gonna try to see if I can play full court anyways because our full court is like a regular sizes half court. Wish me luck! After we got done playing I went home and Knocked out!

Friday- Today we got up and went to Brother Palmers house and helped him move some stuff for a few hours. Then we drove about an hour and a half to chatom Alabama to pick up a washer and dryer. Then on saturday we have to deliver it to Fort walton beach which is like 2 to 2 1/2 hour drive one way. So yay more driving haha. Today is supposed to be our "no drive day" So the entire mission is supposed to be on bikes or just walking. But our mission office had us go get that washer and dryer today so we had to drive... Which sucked because I am sick of being in a car haha. So luckily we got back around 3 pm. Then we quickly got ready and started walking around 4:30pm. The sun goes down at like 5 here. So we got to walk in the dark all the way to a members home. I think we walked like 6 miles. After eating with them he took us to a less active's home and we got to meet him and he was so funny and awesome. After spending time with him he took us home.

Saturday- Today we got up and went over to Daphne High School and played football with a group of people and missionaries. Which was a lot of fun. Then we had a conference call with all the missionaries in our zone. Then we drove all the way to fort walton beach florida. Delivered the washer and dryer and drove all the way back to daphne. Then we went out to eat  for dinner and Alabama was playing Mississippi and Alabama fans were everywhere. It was funny cause everyone was screaming ROLL TIDE!!

Sunday- Our investigator came to church! I was so excited!! The only thing that happened was 2 minutes before Gospel Principles class we were told we were teaching it. So Then we have to try to teach a lesson we have never read. So that was stressful but to make it a little worse a member starts asking some like DEEP DEEP Doctrine questions to us...  As we are like deer in headlights we tried to save the class. Our investigator was like what? I am so confused. I totally thought we were going to lose her but she stayed and she told us she is excited to meet with us again. So i'm grateful for that and i'm glad she stayed for the rest of church. SO I had a little heart attack. On top of that we had a baptism right after church. So two of our investigators Adin and Lyla got baptized and it was an awesome baptism. Ill include the pictures! Then later we got transfer news. My companion Elder Southway got Transferred to Destin Florida to be a Zone Leader there. I Am staying here and my new companion is Elder Burningham! Him and I served around each other in pensacola. He is the one I was with when we got the knife pulled on us. hahahha

Monday- We got up and made phone calls to all the missionaries telling them if they are staying or if they are going. Which is always fun to do! Later today we around 2 my time we are going to go boxing with a member. He teaches people how to box so that will be fun!

Sorry it was such a long email today! But I love yall so much! Thank you for all the love and support it means everything to me! I hope yall have a great week!

Tuesday

THE "A" 11/6/17

Hello friends and family!

So this week has been a lot of fun!I hope everyone had a great halloween!

Monday- Monday was a lot of fun! I didn't have a  lot of time to email though. We had interviews with president smith and Elder Southway and I are the ones who put that entire schedule together. So it was a long morning. We had about 15 missionaries at our building so we all played volleyball and board games and stuff. It was a lot of fun!

Tuesday- Happy Halloween!Today we had just a lot of errands to run! We made some cookies for some less active families and we took some cookies to a members home where we had dinner with them. It was fun  we ate at the  emertsons and we made our own pizzas. We couldn't stay super long that day because we had to drive from Alabama to Navarre Florida. So we finally got to Florida  around 8:30pm. The awesome part about tonight was we  got approval from our mission president to watch Moana! Y'all, I was so dang excited and happy about this! You don't even know how heavy that was weighing on me after I left. Like Moana came out a month after I left and I was so sad haha. But it was really cool because we had a missionary fireside a few days before. so we borrowed a Projector from a member and they were out of town still so we were  able to use it to watch a movie. It was so cool we had it projected on our wall and there was about 6 missionaries just having a blast watching moana! haha So that was our Halloween! haha

Wednesday- Got up super early because we had to drive another hour to crest-view Florida to be at our meeting at 10am. MLC (Missionary Leadership Council) was awesome! ITS OFFICIAL we are getting SMARTPHONES in January! We are also going to be a Facebook mission now! So that it going to be cool! Other than that we talked a lot about being disciples of Jesus Christ and that was just so awesome! Then our meeting got done at like 4:30pm so then we had to drive all the way back home. So we got back home pretty late. But we were still able to go teach two of our investigators Adin and Lyla who are getting baptized next week! So we are super excited for them getting baptized!

Thursday- We had to go down to Fairhope to plan for an event that we wanted to do for #LightTheWorld that is coming up soon! So we were all around Fairhope talking to the city about putting on the event. So thursday just consisted of running around town all day hahha.

Friday- Today we did a lot of service for a member which was fun. Doug and Linda are so awesome! We then had a lesson with one of our investigators Dot! She is awesome! She wants to feed like alll the missionaries in our zone basically haha. After we had an awesome lesson with her we went to a few appointments and then went to a football game. Our investigator was there and we were trying to get to know some of the other kids to try to get them to come to our volleyball activity. It was kinda weird going to a high school football game. Its been forever since ive been to one haha. But football down here is a religion so everyone and their dog goes to the games haha.

Saturday- Just had our meeting with our ward mission leader. Then we went back home and did some weekly planning! Takes like 300000 hours to do. Okay only 3 hours but thats what it feels like haha. Then we had to go figure out my bank account because someone hacked into my mission credit card. So my account was shut down. I was finally able to pull some money out after 45min of talking to customer service haha. It was crazy! so now its just the waiting game for a new card. We also went and just went over all the things we want to do with Light the world initiative.

Sunday- Church was awesome! The testimonies that were shared were awesome! We also just had great classes! After church we went to The Benhams for lunch and she always cooks us such good food! We had a cool lesson with them! After we drove to our bishops house and talked with him about Light the world and getting the members involved. That was really awesome. Then later we went to an appointment with the Nimmers! Such a cool family! Had a great dinner with them and a really good spiritual lesson! After that we went and saw a member who wasnt feeling good and we just talked with them for a little. Then we went home and started doing some administrative  things like putting all our zone numbers on the board just getting ready to report them for tomorrow. So that was our sunday

Today- We went to the Battleship with the sisters! AKA The"A"! Sister Langi took us and we had a blast! she then took us out to lunch and a super good sea food place! She dropped us off back at the church and now im here emailing yall!

I hope everyone had a great week and an awesome Halloween! BIG NEWS: Our mission is now getting smartphones! And we are going to be a Facebook mission! So that is weird! haha We should be getting all this stuff this January! But I love yall I hope you all have a great week this week! I look forward to hearing from you all! Thank you so much Graham family for sending me a little package of Halloween stuff! Love my Utah Grahams! Thank you all so much for all the support you give me! It means a lot to me! I love yall!

Love,
Elder Graham😉🤘

#LightTheWorld #5KRun 10/30/17

The weather down here is getting cooler, the cotton is being harvested, sweaters are coming out and pumpkins are everywhere.

We were very busy this week. I say that every week, but we seriously are on the run from 6:30 am to 9 pm everyday!

Tuesday we went to the city of Mobile for district meeting. We had a good meeting and had fun making calls to local officials to set us up for local events that are coming up. We went on an exchange with the Mobile elders. I went with Elder Curnutt. We came back to Daphne for the exchange. We did tons of talking to people all over town.

Wednesday we finished our exchange. We had a super great lesson about family history. We helped a great lady start her family tree and we had many great finds!

Thursday we had exchanges with the Assistants to the President, our supervisors. I went with Elder Johnson and we had a blast. We taught this lady and we asked her how she was doing and she said not good. So we asked her why? and She says... I GOT BRONCHITIS AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT! Literally sounded like she was the one in the video! haha but we taught her the restoration and it was awesome! She really accepted the message!

Friday was a fun one as well. We sent the APs away back to Tallahassee. Elder southway and I reunited went to work. We got a lot of little things done and again talked to the good people of Daphne, Alabama. In the evening we had our ward's trunk or treat party. It was a ton of fun. There was a big turn out, good food and awesome costumes.

Saturday was the highlight of the week. Early in the morning Elder Southway and I went downtown to take part in the Turkey Trot 5K for Prodisee Pantry, a food shelter charity we help with here. It was 50 degrees and raining when we started but that gave for perfect running conditions for us. I was 71 overall with  28:30. Elder Southway was 91 overall with a 31:04! I took 2nd in my division and Elder southway took 1st in his! It was so cool! We were both tired afterword but still had a very productive rest of our day. My division was from ages 15-19 so it was hard racing against the track kids haha they are FAST! haha I won like 70 dollars worth of gift cards which was super awesome! Gonna go have some fun next P-day haha.

Sunday was a bit crazy. Church was very good. I spoke at church one sunday about Overcoming the World. President Smith also spoke to us, about the greatness of the Restorations and the blessings and fruits of it. The afternoon was nuts. We had a fireside that was falling apart before our eyes. We were on the road and on the phone making all the last minute arrangements. At show time we had a few technical difficulties. The fireside went great! We are so excited for this Christmas. #LighttheWorld is back and is going to be bigger than ever! Stay tuned for more details.

Today we had interviews with President Smith. I love him so so much! It was lots of fun today because half the zone was in town. Chair soccer, mafia, and tons and tons laughs!

I know this was short not much time! Love y'all!

In The Land of Cotton 10/23/17

This week has been a lot of fun! Full of adventures. So I'll go day by day on some fun things that have happened this week.

Tuesday- Got up and drove an hour and a half to Atmore. Which is north east of me. Drove there for District meeting which was really good. After district meeting we all ate together at the church. Elder Tate made me a southern classic sandwich, which consists of bread, mayo and banana... It was umm... interesting. It wasnt a bad taste it was just not something I would ever crave.

Later in the day we went up to Monroe and did an exchange with the Monroe Elders. I went with Elder Wilkes in our Tacoma to go contact some referrals. I told him not to worry about miles because we would just use ours since we are allotted a lot more. So we ended up driving through some like back roads, basically went off roadin. We had some fun times that day. We drove about 200 miles. We also contacted this lady in the middle of no where. She was nice and I guess they were having a festival this weekend and she invited us to it and said that she wants us to share our message with everyone and then eat some food and have a good times! haha it was so cool that she wanted us to teach an entire town!

Wednesday- We got up and got ready to head out. On our way out of Monroe we stopped at the Old Court house and took some pictures. Monroe is where To kill a Mockingbird took place. So to kill a mockingbird is like what the town cherishes. So we took some cool pictures there. They also have some gorgeous cotton fields! Like Cotton fields here are like snow for them. It is the only thing thats white and its everywhere! hahaha. We then Drove down to bay minette to go on another exchange.
I went with Elder Hawkins and my companion went with Elder Tate and took him down to our area and I stayed in Bay minette. Elder Hawkins is a brand new missionary and so it was fun being able to teach him some tricks. We were on the bikes a lot that day which was a lot of fun. We were biking down this one  road to go see a potential investigator and I don't know what it is about this little town but they don't care to lock their dogs up AT ALL. So Elder Hawkins and I are biking down this street and all of a sudden on my left side 2 dogs coming chasing us! So I swerve to the right and then on my right side this big dog comes out of no where and starts chasing us too. So at this point i'm like hallin butt! Then 1 more dog comes chasing! So we have 4 dogs chasing us right now. Sadly at the  end of the road it goes into a T and we have no idea if other cars are coming but all I did was pray that no one is there because I was not stopping! haha Luckily no one was there but the dogs continued to chase us around the corner. We were lucky enough that they got tired and gave up. Elder Hawkins and I just look at each other laugh then high five haha. Good times.

Once we got to the potentials home she pulls up just in time. She gets out and I meet her, she tells us that after they gave her a Book of Mormon last time her and her husband were talking about it and were really excited to read it. She said by the end of her conversation with her husband her family was fighting over who gets to read it first haha. So she was really excited to meet with us again and share more. #Miracles! Later that night we went to go see someone who was less active who just moved here from New York. Now in bay minette its sad the way it is because on one side of the train tracks its nice where a lot of people are well off. Then on the other side of the train tracks its very ghetto. Its kinda divided. But anyways so she is living no the other side of the tracks, the ghetto side. So we go and talk to her around 7pm. On the way there Elder Hawkins says to me, now when we are driving through here we cant stop and we need to just get straight to her place. Im like oh no here we go haha. So we get to her place and have an amazing conversation with her and her family. She really wanted us to come back and teach her family because her family is not members. #AnotherMiracle So its dark by the time we leave and as we are walking back to our car we see a group of people standing next to their car. Elder Hawkins quickly gets in the car but to be obedient I have to stay outside to back him out of the parking spot. So the group of people are saying some comments to me and I just keep ignoring them just minding my own business, until I hear these words come out of one of their mouths "oh this man is tryin to get shot." I was like oh no...haha In my mind i'm like Elder Hawkins hurry up and pull out! haha He finally does and I jump in the car because they are starting to walk over to us and I tell him "DRIVE!" So that was our adventure of a day hahaha! I love doing missionary work! So many cool miracles and crazy adventures!

Thursday- Elder southway comes and picks me up and we drive all the way to Chattom Alabama AKA Toxey Alabama. They Elders had a house up there and so us and the senior couple drove up there to clean out the house. So that took all day. From 10 am to about 5 pm. We loaded our truck up with so much stuff it was crazy! Then we had to hall it all around our zone to deliver some items such as beds and couches and kitchen items to different missionaries. We finally got home and it  was late and I was  just so grateful to be in my own bed again haha. I haven't been home for about 3 days. I think we drove about 600 - 700 miles this week. I am just so thankful for a car though! hahaha.

Friday- Drove down to foley to deliver a  couch and some beds. Then we drove back and just did a normal day of missionary work. Which was nice. We did have to take a 20 minute nap which was approved. Thanks President! We were both so exhausted that we started to fall asleep while driving in the middle of the day. So when we got back home we took a quick nap to get us up and going again.

Saturday- Had coordination meeting, then we went to the church and had studies. We Had lunch then we went looking for some new apartments because our apartment is old and small. Way too small for me, it does not feel like a place i'm able to make my "home" like I was able to do in my last apartment. We later went to olive garden had some really good pasta. Then we went back to the church for game night but sadly had to cancel that. Its okay because it gave Elder southway time to prepare his talk, and gave me time to print out my talk for next week.

Sunday- Basically our day in a few words. AMAZING DAY! We had a great sacrament meeting. Our Bishop showed us the holy of holys aka the up stairs of the building where all the AC units are haha. Then went home and ate. We had some Police officers ask us some questions, some people were breaking into some cars in our apartment complex. Then went back to the church filled up the font for the sister missionaries. Their Investigator was getting baptized. After that we went over to the Amares home for dinner. Ugh I love that family! They are soo awesome! She has been treating me like a son I swear! She like got me shoes and saw that my shoes were getting  all torn up and had them fixed for me. haha Like she is just so nice. Love their family, they are sooo funny too. They just roast each other all the time! Its never ending, I'am always crying laughing when I leave their home. We talked a lot about medical school because he is a doctor and talked about the gospel a lot because they are converts to the church. I would have never guessed honestly. We are all converts to the church really. But that was basically our Sunday!

Today (Monday)- We are going to go carve pumpkins. At lunch time we are going to go out to eat with a returned missionary who used  to serve in this mission. He was actually the very first missionary I went on a trade off with when I got into the mission. He is like my favorite kid. So we are going out to lunch today to catch up on life and meet his family. Then later we are going out with a member to Five Guys so that will be good!

$ Just had lunch with Elder Renslows family, they are soo sick! haha I've missed that kid so dang much! Literally my favorite missionary in this mission! haha I hope you had a great time here man, Cant wait to hang out with you back home!

A little sneak peek on what this week will look like. Tuesday- District meeting in mobile and exchanges with the mobile elders. Wednesday- District Leadership council that Elder southway and I have to hold. Thursday- Exchanges with the Assistants to the President(AP). Friday-I have no Idea what we are doing. Saturday- 5k Run that a member is paying for us to do. #PrayForME. Also going to this thing called Sausage fest The fire department  raising money by cooking meat all day! haha so that will  be good day. Sunday- Regular schedule.

I love y'all so much though! I am really  so grateful for all your prayers. They mean a lot to me. I just know that this church is true! I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and we have prophets and Apostles on the earth today! I love this work and I am excited for the new church initiative #LightTheWorld which will be starting up soon! I love y'all! Cant wait to talk to y'all next week. I hope you enjoy the pictures from this week! :) <3

Billions and Billions and Billions and Billions 10/16/17

HELLO Family and Friends!

So this week has gone by so fast! It's been full of crazy adventures and cool experiences.

Tuesday- Got up early got ready and ran over to Dunkin Donuts, grabbed about two dozen donuts and drove 45 min to District meeting down in Foley. So got District meeting at 10am and had some cool training. After District meeting I went on an exchange with the Spanish Elders down in foley. The Spanish Elders are in a Trio so I went with Elder Valentine and my companion went with Elder Meidlinger and Elder Loose. (I'm glad I don't have any crazy last names like them.) LOL. So Elder Valentine and I got on the bikes. We went probably about 5 miles? Got Bashed by a hispanic who spoke english. It's crazy how you can prove to people out of their own Bibles about the restored gospel. But i'm not here to bash so we just Testified and went on our way. As we were biking back home Alabama decided to dump buckets of rain on us. Like this was the hardest I've ever seen it rain here. So after Biking back 5 miles and going through some mud piles, we get home soaking wet and look at the back of our shirts they have just mud all over them from the bike tire spraying it all on our backs. hahahha it was soooo funny! We just laughed and were actually so grateful because the rain made the temperature go down a little but not much haha usually it makes it worse but the breeze helped. We had a great time contacting people and biking in the rain.

Wednesday- We went on an Exchange with the Foley English Elders. So I went went Elder Durfee but this time we took them up to our area in Daphne Alabama. We Decided to go "Service Tracting." You might ask  what's that? Well what we did is we got some rakes from members and just started going door to door cleaning everyone's yards. Picking up all the leftover trash from Hurricane Nate. Elder Durfee and I stopped at this lady's house and just asked her if we could clean her yard. She told us we could and she explained how her dad is in his 80s and he just got out of the Hospital because he broke all his right side of his ribs and now he's cant do a lot. So during our service to them she comes back out and tells me, "thank you so much for what you have done. My mom wanted me to come out and tell you she said thank you! She is in there crying right now from the service that you are giving them, she feels this burden lifted from her. So thank you." That feeling has not left me, the feeling of charity. Charity is the pure love of Christ. Her heart  was soften and she now wants to learn more about the Gospel. I don't tell yall this because i've done something good, but I tell yall this because these are the moments i'll strive to never forget and the life lessons i've learned from serving others. It's so amazing to feel that selfless service and the impact it has on others.

Thursday- Nothing crazy happened this day. It was our weekly planning day where we plan out our following week. I also created a weekly planning Guide for all the missionaries. That was pretty cool to make, other than that not much happened other than being exhausted.

Friday- We got up and went and did service until like 1pm. Then came back showered and a member took us out to a steakhouse for lunch. We then later had a great lesson with one of our investigators but we ended up teaching his mom, which was really cool because she was very interested.

Saturday- GREAT DAY! We went to a British Car Festival which was so much fun. We talked to a lot of people and also got to see a lot of cool cars! We then drove down to Gulf Shores where there was a huge Shrimp Festival. It was so packed we had to pay for parking. Probably about 20,000 -40,000 people at the beach. It was crazy hot and everyone liked how we were dressed up haha. We didn't  leave there until later in the day and it felt like I was in LA traffic... We then went to Brother and Sister Asberrys home for dinner and they fed us GUMBO! Ugh it was soo good. We had a great time at their home and then we took off to the church. Sometimes I feel like I live at the church haha. We didn't leave the church until about 9pm that night. We had to set up all the chairs and do some administrative stuff.

Sunday- It was a great sunday, we had a great sacrament meeting. Some members took our picture with their family and sent it to my mom so I hope you liked that. We then had our investigators show up to second hour, which was a great surprise. After church a boy got baptized and it was awesome because his older brother baptized him. We went later on in the day to another church. One of our investigators church. Its called City Hope church. It was cool, their service was like a concert it was really interesting, super nice people but it was some interesting sermons. That was pretty much our day.

I am so grateful for all the support yall give me! It really means a lot to me. I hope yall have a great week! PS I'm so jealous of vegas right now because it's cold there but today is pretty cool so i'm blessed for that.

Sunday

Hurricane Nate 10/9/17

So this week has been crazy!!!

Tuesday- Just went out all day sharing the gospel! It was a great day! We also had to plan for Transfers and everything. Im now in Transfer number 8! Its crazy!

Wednesday- Drive to Pensacola Florida. Set up the parking lot for transfers. Started signing everyones exit journals. Which that went from like 11am -2pm. The transfer van then showed up and we unloaded everyones bags and then loaded everyones bags who were leaving our zone. Transfer days our crazy haha! Melissa knows all about them haha. We then Drove from Pensacola to Bonifay Florida. (its in Panama city zone melissa should know where that is)

Thursday- We got up got dressed and went to MLC (Missionary Leadership Council) Which we had a blast there! We learned a lot on how to be more effective when sharing the gospel. We also were able to talk a lot about the needs of our mission. MLC is one of my favorite meetings! That went from 10am - 5pm. We then Drove from Bonifay all the way back to Daphne, Alabama. We got in at like 8pm. We then Set up for our Zone Conference for the next day.

Friday- Zone Conference day! We had a great zone conference where we learned a lot about the same things we learned at MLC. Then we also got our Flu shots. Sister Smith loves to tell me what to do its so funny. Shes like who am I going to tell what to do when we go back home. I told her she could boss President Smith around, shes like no he doesnt like it hahha. I told her when I get home she can call me and tell me what to do hahah she was happy about that lol. Zone Conference went from 10am-4pm But we didnt leave until about 6pm. We had to do a lot of administrative things. We then had to drive 45min to foley to deliver some furniture to some missionaries down there. So we didnt get home until late at night! LONG FEW DAYS WE HAVE HAD! haha

Saturday- Hurricane Prep. We had a lot to do because our Zone was going to get hit by Hurricane Nate. It was a crazy day. Really well Organized though it was really cool to see. We had all the missionaries staying in members homes throughout the stake. BEST NIGHT OF SLEEP EVER! I got to sleep in a Queen size bed! First time in 11 months! haha We also played games with our bishop and his kids. It was a great night. We
did a lot of Administrative stuff making sure all the missionaries are safe.

Sunday- We had sacrament Meeting only for like an hour. Our Bishop randomly told everyone that the missionaries will get up and share something with us. They dont know that but now they do. hahah So we had to get up and share something with the members. He thought he was funny hahaha. It turned out to be really good! We later had to do some more administrative stuff for the zone but we finally were able to go out and proselyte. We went to the Pier where we usually contact and it was all blocked off because the Hurricane destroyed it.

I love you all! Im praying for everyone in Vegas! Keep on Keepin on! ❤

I LOVE YOU ALL!! 10/2/17

I hope EVERYONE back home is safe! Ive heard a lot about the tragic scene in vegas. I love you all and I pray for every one of you!
From the words of Henry B. Eyring:
The Lord promised peace to His disciples as He was about to leave them. He has made the same promise to us. But He said that He would give peace in Hiway, not in the world’s way. He described His way of sending peace:
“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shalteach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever have said unto you.
“Peace leave with you, my peace give unto you: not as thworld giveth, give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”
May God bless you all and may he fulfill his promise in bringing peace to you in your life.
My week has been good! I have been driving a lot this week but it was full of miracles in finding many to teach and inviting them to baptism! I am staying in Daphne for another transfer! Its so crazy that I hit 1 year next month! I love you all for the love and support! Sorry this is going to be short!
